OK, the word is out from our local Bombsquad SC. Doomtown III, which will take place over the Labor Day weekend of August 29 -> September 1, is planned to be a 'vintage' event. By BSSC's definition, this means that in order to *ride* on the group rides, you need to be on a manual-shift scoot or something 30+ years old. So, a brand new Vespa PX is OK, a Bajaj is OK, but a new twist & go scooter is NOT OK. This is really a shame because the group rides are a lot of fun, regardless of what you're on! I put the web site on the calendar, so you are welcome to show up to the venues to check out the old scooters, drink yourself into a stupor, party, buy stuff, etc. You just can't *ride* with the rest of the folks. scratch
