The basic route is up to Virginia City, back down via Mile High or the Truck Route, east past Dayton, take the Weeks Cutoff, south through Yerington farm roads, up the canyon to Smith Valley and over to 395, then 395 through Gardnerville, Foothill Road past Genoa, some backroads through Carson City, then East Lake or Old 395 back to Reno. My Speeding citation last April was dismissed today....I was willing to fight for it because I was really not speeding at that time, I was on the slow lane. I believe the Cop pointed the Radar gun to somebody else and not me...since the officer did not show up. The DA just dismissed the case...

I got pulled over yesterday, by a fucking AH on a bike, he was a very racist stupid man . he had me wait 30 min under the sun, while he was lecturing me , and asking me a very dumm questions, about the group that I ride with and colors of the bikes ....blah blah blah very dumm SOB. I was so annoyed with his attitude and stupidity and I don't how they give such responsibility to people like that . I lost my temper too lol, so he start losing up and being nice to me ....long story ...

OK, the word is out from our local Bombsquad SC. Doomtown III, which will take place over the Labor Day weekend of August 29 -> September 1, is planned to be a 'vintage' event. By BSSC's definition, this means that in order to *ride* on the group rides, you need to be on a manual-shift scoot or something 30+ years old. So, a brand new Vespa PX is OK, a Bajaj is OK, but a new twist & go scooter is NOT OK. This is really a shame because the group rides are a lot of fun, regardless of ...

Hey all, I just wanted to let anyone who plans on riding up to Virginia City and back that there is a section of the highway that they were doing some ditch cleaning on and there is quite a bit of dirt and what not on the road. It is mainly in the lane heading towards Reno, between the top of the hill and the long straight section. The rest of the road seamed ok. There were loads of Story County Sheriffs out when I went through, including an undercover dark grey Ford SUV.

The Royal Bastards Scooter Club will be holding its annual Tahoe Rally, Blazing Saddles II over the July 11->13 weekend. Campout and major meeting point is Camp Richardson. See their web site for all the details. Not totally sure if they welcome sport bikes, but *any* type of scooter can do the ride around the Lake, even a 50cc Ruckus! (You might have an adventure getting up there, but it's doable!).

Hey guys n girls. I just wanted to let you all know there are a few poker runs happening on Saturday.

There is one called Saints n Sinners that starts at the Tammarack Junction casino in south Reno at 10am. All proceeds from it go to help poor kids pay tuition at Bishop Manogue High School. I belive this is the 2nd year for this one. Not sure of route. It is $20per rider $5 per passenger.
