New and Experience Riders Welcome
Got a Sportbike? Scooter? Harley? Then come and ride with us. All new and experience riders are welcome. NVGR of Reno and Sparks location. This group targets new riders to the world of motorcycles and group riding. We are the front lines for new-comers who are not sure were to start, or not familiar to this area. Or just want to enjoy the company of other riders. This is a non-profit organization.

Every rider is treated equally. No one is left behind, it is in NVGR best interest to be supportive and to aid every rider. We promote safe and fun riding, and the safety of
the public.

other weekend.

Ride Schedule for 2008

The club normally rides every second Sunday and every last Sunday of the month. Any changes to this schedule will be posted here and in the mass mailing that goes out about a week before each ride.

The second Sunday is a RAT (Ride Around Town). We'll cruise around for an hour or two and then stop for a snack or late lunch someplace.

The last Sunday will generally be more adventurous and can involve some highway riding to get to a particular spot. The notice will mention if this will happen. In that case you need to have a highway-legal scooter - in NV this means 150cc or larger. Even then, we don't try to make a habit of speeding down the freeways! Typical departure for the long rides is 9:00AM from the same location.

All rides leave from the parking lot next to the Idlewild Pool on Idlewild Drive. This is also right next to the skate park for the skateboarders among you! Times may vary for some rides (will be noted here and in the e-mail), but normally we meet at 12:00 noon and are on our way by 12:15PM for the RAT, and meet at 9:00AM for the longer rides.

Our new site is in working order. Please be patient while some new changes may appear. The Yahoo Group version of the NVGR site will no longer be updated, until then please use much of this this new site. Calendar for ride time is in the links above. Use the Portal link above as well too come back to this main page.

This new site was created due to the limitations of the Yahoo Groups site, e.g. limited bandwidth etc. Even though this is a non profit organization I welcome any donations from the link at the bottom of the page. The donations bought, goes towards points to improve this forum. Non of it, is ever pocketed. It is NOT necessary but it helps.

We see NVGR is growing every time we meet, and the members have been very supportive. Thank you all.
